Exploring is the young adult program of Learning for Life. Exploring offers career exploration programs for young men and women ages 14-21. Exploring participants join a "post" based on their career interests and gain hands on experience and career insight from professionals in their chosen field. Activities vary by post but can include: job training, field trips, job shadowing, mentoring, group scenarios, case studies, "mock" practice job situations, real experiences, and more.
The Northern Star Council has over 100 Exploring programs thought twenty-one counties across south-central Minnesota (including the twin cities metro area) and four counties in western Wisconsin. For over 60 years, thousands of Explorers have prepared for their future career through Exploring, and advanced into the professional world because of their experience in the program.
